What are Subscription Bookings?
Subscription bookings let you keep working with a SweepStar you trust — at your own agreed price — while SweepSouth continues to manage the platform, payments, and support.
It’s the safest way to move beyond standard bookings without going fully off-platform.
How subscription bookings work
With a subscription booking, you:
Set your own daily or hourly rate with your SweepStar
Your SweepStar keeps 100% of the agreed rate
Bookings stay visible and manageable in the SweepSouth app
Payments and payouts to your Sweepstar are handled digitally by Sweepsouth
Your SweepStar is reserved for your agreed days
You pay:
R99 per month to Sweepsouth (for managing the arrangement), and
The agreed rate to your SweepStar for the days worked
What this means in practice
💰 Price & payment
You agree on the rate directly with your SweepStar
SweepSouth ensures the rate meets our fair pay minimums
We don’t take a cut from the SweepStar’s earnings
Your SweepStar is paid weekly through the app
📅 Schedule & flexibility
• Subscription bookings run on fixed days each week
• You can remove days from your schedule at any time
• To add more days, please contact Support
• You can still cancel individual bookings when needed
🤒 Leave & replacements
If your SweepStar is sick or needs to take leave, we’ll arrange a replacement, unless stated otherwise
🔧 What you can still manage
• Edit individual bookings (start time, hours, tasks)
• Cancel bookings that are no longer needed (like if you are away from home)
• View and manage everything in the app
Important things to know
Please note the following before choosing subscription bookings:
• Subscription bookings are not covered by the SweepSouth Satisfaction Guarantee
• Communication and day-to-day working arrangements are managed directly between you and your SweepStar
• Re-booking your SweepStar outside your subscription will be at standard platform rates, not your agreed subscription rate
When is a subscription a good fit?
Subscription bookings work best if:
• You’ve found a SweepStar you trust and want to keep long-term
• You want control over the rate you pay
• You prefer a stable, predictable routine
• You want platform support without managing everything yourself
Costs & responsibilities (simple summary)
Monthly fee:
• R99 per month to SweepSouth (payable on card only)
SweepStar status:
• Your SweepStar remains an independent contractor, not your employee
• You are not responsible for UIF, COIDA, paid leave, sick leave, or other employer obligations
SweepSouth continues to manage:
• Payments and payouts
• Platform support
• Dispute and issue handling
If things change
If your SweepStar leaves
If your SweepStar ends the arrangement:
• Let us know as soon as possible
• We’ll guide you on next steps and available options
• While we can’t guarantee a specific person forever, you won’t be left without support
If your needs change
• If you need fewer days, Support can update your schedule
• If you no longer need help, you can cancel your subscription — no long-term lock-in
• We ask for reasonable notice so changes can be managed fairly
Public holidays
• Public holidays are treated as normal working days unless you agree otherwise
• Many customers choose to give the day off
• You can cancel individual bookings in the app if needed
Optional: Booking Cover
Booking Cover is available as an optional add-on at R13 per booking.
