📌 Introduction
Welcome to Moving Cleaning! With Moving Cleaning your job is to leave the home spotless for the next tenant or owner. This service is different from regular indoor cleaning because the home is empty or mostly empty so you can clean areas that are usually hard to reach. Customers expect a deep clean to remove all dirt, dust, and marks. You do not have to bring your own cleaning products or equipment—customers provide them.
✅ What's Included in the Standard Cleaning?
You will always complete the following tasks:
🏠 General Areas (Living Room, Bedrooms, Hallways)
✔️ Dust and wipe shelves, skirting boards, light fixtures, baseboards, doors, and handles
✔️ Vacuum all carpets and rugs, including edges and under furniture if the home is not empty
✔️ Mop hard floors (wood, tile, laminate) and remove stains
✔️ Clean light fittings and switches
✔️ Clean mirrors and glass surfaces (no streaks!)
🍽️ Kitchen
✔️ Clean inside & outside of the oven, including racks and trays
✔️ Clean stovetop, knobs, burners, and remove grease buildup
✔️ Wipe inside & outside of cupboards and drawers
✔️ Clean and descale sink & taps, including drains
✔️ Wipe down countertops and work surfaces
✔️ Clean fridge/freezer (if empty), including shelves and drawers
✔️ Mop kitchen floors, removing grime and sticky residue
✔️ Empty and clean trash bins
🚿 Bathroom
✔️ Scrub and sanitize toilet, including base and behind
✔️ Clean shower/bathtub, including tiles, grout, and limescale buildup
✔️ Clean sink, taps, and drains (remove limescale)
✔️ Wipe and polish mirrors
✔️ Mop and sanitize bathroom floor
✔️ Wipe towel racks, hooks, and shelves
🛏️ Bedrooms
✔️ Dust and wipe wardrobes/closets, including shelves, drawers, and hanging rails (inside & out)
✔️ Clean under the bed and behind furniture
✔️ Vacuum and mop floors
🛤️ Hallways & Stairs (if applicable)
✔️ Wipe skirting boards, doors, and handles
✔️ Vacuum stairs (if carpeted) or clean flooring
✔️ Wipe down light fixtures and any mirrors
✔️ Mop or vacuum floors
✨ Extra Tasks
If the customer selects these or asks you to do them at the booking, you must complete them. If the customer does not ask for these tasks, you don't have to do them. Remember you can always inform the customer that you may need more time to do more work or that they can book you again for the next day if there is not enough time to do everything.
📦 Pack Boxes – Help pack household items into boxes
📦 Unpack Boxes – Assist with unpacking and organizing in the new home
🪑 Wipe/Dust Furniture – Dust and wipe down all furniture surfaces
🧽 Clean Appliances – Deep clean microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines, and inside of fridges/freezers
🪟 Exterior Windows – Clean outside windows (if safe & accessible)
🌿 Sweep Balcony/Patio – Remove dust, dirt, and debris from outdoor areas
🪞 Clean Blinds & Shutters – Dust and wipe blinds and shutters
📝 How Can I Get a Moving Cleaning Booking?
If you are an Indoor worker, you can get Move In/Move Out bookings. You do not need to apply for this service
Move In/Move Out bookings are given to workers in the same way as Indoor bookings. This is based on:
✅Your location
✅Your work days
✅Your rating
When a booking comes in, it will have a blue label that tells you what type of service it is. If the booking says "Moving Clean", that means it is a Move In/Move Out booking.
⚠️ Important Reminders!
🗣 Check with the customer before doing extra tasks – only do them if customer asks you to or if they selected the task before the booking!
