Welcome to the Laundry & Ironing service! This service goes beyond standard cleaning to ensure customers’ clothes, bedding, and household fabrics are fresh, clean, and neatly finished. Only top-rated workers with excellent laundry and ironing skills are selected for this service. Customers provide the necessary detergents, washing machines, and ironing equipment—you just need to follow the correct steps to deliver a great result!

✅ What's Included?

You will complete one or more of the below tasks, depending on what the customer requests. Important: You must not do any cleaning or any work that's not part of laundry and ironing. Call support immediately if the customer insists you do more than laundry and ironing after you have explained. 

🌀 Machine Washing
✔️ Sort laundry by colour and fabric type
✔️ Check labels on items for the correct wash settings
✔️ Use the washing machine to clean clothes and household items
✔️ Tumble dry or hang washing to dry

🔥 Ironing
✔️ Iron clothes, bed linen, and other household fabrics
✔️ Check labels on items for the correct heat setting
✔️ Use steam for tough wrinkles
✔️ Fold or hang items neatly when done

📦 Folding & Finishing
✔️ Fold and organise clean laundry once dry
✔️ Group similar items together (shirts, trousers, towels, etc.)
✔️ Place neatly folded laundry where the customer requests

📝 How Can I Get a Laundry & Ironing Booking?

Your experience with laundry and ironing, compliments from customers, ratings, and reliability score will determine if you qualify for Laundry & Ironing bookings.

If you are chosen, you will receive an SMS with a link to the Laundry & Ironing test. You must pass the test to show that you have the right skills. SweepSouth may also call your references to confirm your experience before you can receive Laundry & Ironing bookings.

Once approved, these bookings will appear with a blue label so you can easily identify them.

🗣 Confirm tasks with the customer – Only do laundry and ironing work requested by the customer. 

🖐️ Handwashing - Currently this is not included in the service. You do not have to do this.

⏳ Manage time wisely – Larger loads take longer, so let the customer know if extra time is needed.
