🧒 Mom’s Helper 👶
👩👩👦 What is the Mom’s Helper Service?
Mom’s Helper is a service that supports a busy parent who is at home with the kids and juggling more than they can do on their own. As a Mom’s Helper Sweepstar, you will go to their home to assist the mom or parent with the kids and with chores around the house. This is not a full nanny service, so a parent should be at home while you are assisting..
📝 How Can I Get a Mom’s Helper Booking?
If you are an Indoor worker, you will have had an opportunity to apply to be a Mom’s Helper. The first group of workers were chosen based on these things:
✔️At least 1 year at Sweepsouth
✔️ At least 1 year of nanny experience
✔️ High star rating
✔️ High reliability score
✔️ Passed reference checks
When a booking comes in, it will have a blue label that tells you what type of service it is. If the booking says "Mom’s Helper", that means it is a Mom’s Helper booking.
✅ How Does it Work?
Your job is to assist busy parents with their children and help them around their home.
This service is different from a nanny job because you won't be looking after the children on your own. A parent will be at home during the booking and your job is to support them.
All the details of the job will be in the booking, including:
- The location
- The date and time
- The hours of work (from 1 and 10 hours)
- Any extra tasks the customer has requested
- The number of children that will be at the booking
- The children's ages.
✨ What’s Included in the service?
The Mom’s Helper service doesn't have a full checklist of tasks to complete as the point of the service is to assist the parent with what they need on the day.
These tasks can be selected and will show up on your app:
🔹Supervising children & infants
🔹Playtime
🔹Preparing snacks
🔹Organising kids rooms
🔹Children’s laundry
🔹Newborn support
Remember that homes with kids can be busy and It's important to be open to change on the day of the booking.
As with Indoor Bookings, the customer must supply all cleaning supplies and other equipment that you may need.

- Get to know the parents and children - communication is key to building relationships and getting repeat bookings!
- Always be open to asking questions if you're unsure about something.
