Sweepsouth Placements Terms and Conditions
1. Services Provided
Sweepsouth Placements offers professional introduction and placement services, connecting clients with qualified providers in:
- Childcare (nannies)
- Home-based elder care (carers)
- Domestic cleaning (cleaners)
Our role is limited to matching clients with candidates based on their specified needs and preferences. Sweepsouth does not employ these providers; they are independent contractors.
2. Candidate Screening
As part of our placement process, Sweepsouth conducts a screening of each provider, which includes:
- Verification of identity and legal right to work
- Skills testing (where applicable)
- Review of relevant experience and qualifications
- Reference checks with previous employers
- Criminal background checks
While we take reasonable care in vetting providers, Sweepsouth cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information presented. Final hiring decisions and all related due diligence remain the responsibility of the client.
3. Interview and Selection Support
Sweepsouth offers assistance throughout the interview and selection process, including:
- Coordination of interviews
- Facilitation of trial bookings
- Guidance on offer negotiation
Clients may interview up to 5 candidates per placement round. If a suitable match is not found and the client has completed at least 1 trial booking, an additional round of up to 5 further interviews may be arranged. A maximum of 10 candidates can be interviewed per placement round as this is included in the placement fee of R1249 for cleaners or R2249 for carers and nannies.
Clients may book up to 5 trial sessions, with each candidate eligible for a maximum of 3 trial bookings. Trial bookings are paid by the client and are charged at regular Sweepsouth booking rates.
4. Placement Costs and Fees
Initiation Fee: Clients are required to pay a non-refundable upfront administrative fee of R250 to begin the matching process. This fee confirms the client's commitment and allows us to present and schedule suitable candidates.
Placement Fee: Once the Client decides they want to hire the candidate (ie the Placement is complete), they are required to pay the Placement Fee in order for Sweepsouth to release the candidate. The placement fee is R999 for cleaners or R1999 for carers and nannies.
Providers traveling by public transport for interviews should be reimbursed directly by the client, typically R100 – R150 per interview.
We recommend conducting at least one trial booking to assess the provider’s suitability. Trial bookings are billed separately at Sweepsouth’s standard rates. View the Sweepsouth services for a view of pricing.
5. Guarantee and Refund Terms
Non-Refundable Placement Fees
The Initiation fee and Placement fee are non-refundable. However, if the initial application does not result in the client hiring a provider, Sweepsouth will make every reasonable effort to present further candidates that match the clients requirements, within the 10 interview limitation.
Happiness Guarantee – 90 Days Replacement
Sweepsouth offers a 90-day full replacement guarantee. If, within 90 days from the provider’s start date, the client is dissatisfied with the placement, we will provide another placement round (one round), consisting of 5 interviews, for free.
The request must be made in writing within 7 days of the provider’s departure or before the 90-day guarantee period ends. The request can be emailed to support@sweepsouth.com.
The client must clearly state the provider's last working day.
6. Post-Placement Support
For a period of 90 days post-placement, Sweepsouth offers limited support, including:
- Advisory assistance in case of early concerns
- Help resolving misunderstandings between client and provider
- This support does not include supervision or management of the employment relationship.
7. Liability and Disclaimers
Sweepsouth Placements functions solely as an introduction and referral service. All providers introduced through our platform are independent contractors, and Sweepsouth is not their employer.
We do not assume any legal, financial, or contractual responsibility related to the provider-client relationship. Clients are solely responsible for employment terms, compensation, tax obligations, and legal compliance.
While we take great care to vet providers, Sweepsouth does not warrant the accuracy or ongoing validity of their information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Sweepsouth disclaims liability for any loss, injury, or damages resulting from the actions or omissions of any provider introduced through our service.
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sweepsouth, its employees, directors, and agents against any claims, damages, or costs arising from their use of the service or provider engagement.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application and checking the acceptance box online, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions when engaging any provider introduced by Sweepsouth Placements.
