🏠 Airbnb cleaning 🏖️
What is an Airbnb cleaning booking?
This is a special cleaning job for places like Airbnb or guest houses.
If you take a booking like this, you must get the property ready for the next guest quickly and professionally. Think of it as hotel-style cleaning.
How can I apply for this service?
Right now, we are testing this new service.
- You are already qualified if: Your profile shows you have hospitality experience (worked in hotels or guest houses before).
- If you are qualified, you will start receiving these jobs.
- If the test is successful, we will open applications for everyone later.
- We will add selected workers to a dedicated WhatsApp group for updates.
What will I see in the worker app?
A job request will look like this:
- Name: "Airbnb Cleaning"
Time: You will see the start time and how long the job is booked for (e.g., "5 hours").
How to clean a guest house or an Airbnb
You must clean, sanitise, and reset the property to a high standard.
Bedrooms
- Strip the beds and take out used linen.
- Make the bed with fresh, clean linen.
- Dust surfaces and furniture.
- Vacuum/mop floors.
- Check everywhere for guest belongings (under the bed, in cupboards) and remove all rubbish.
Bathrooms
- Clean and disinfect the shower, bath, and basin.
- Clean the toilet well.
- Wipe mirrors and counters.
- Replace towels with fresh ones.
- Restock toilet paper.
Kitchen
- Wash all dishes or run the dishwasher.
- Wipe down counters, sinks, and appliances.
- Clean the inside of the microwave.
- Remove all leftover food from guests.
- Empty bins and mop the floor.
Laundry and Linen: Follow instructions!
The customer chooses what you must do with the dirty linen. ALWAYS check the "Booking Instructions" under "Work Details".

| Replace linen but do not wash | Strip the bed and make it with clean linen, but DO NOT wash the dirty linen. |
| Wash linens and leave to hang dry | Wash and hang the bedding, mats, and towels. You do NOT need to wait for them to dry or repack them. |
| Wash, dry & repack linen onsite | You must wash, dry, AND repack all linens during your booked time. START LAUNDRY FIRST! |
| Do not replace bedding | Follow the general cleaning, but leave the bedding as it is. |
REMEMBER: If there is laundry, start the washing machine right away when you arrive so it has time to dry.
Other EXTRA tasks
The customer might ask you to:
- Restock consumables: Put out new tea, coffee, sugar, soap, or paper towels.
- Clean appliances: Clean the inside of the oven or coffee machine.
Important Rule: You cannot bring or buy new supplies. You can only restock items that the owner has already left at the property.
Important Notes
- Equipment: You do not bring cleaning products or equipment. The customer must provide everything you need.
- Missing Items: You are not responsible for checking if utensils, mugs, or glasses are missing.
- Accepting: Remember to Accept or Decline the job before the deadline shown on the screen. Bookings not responded to by the cutoff will be reassigned to another Sweepstar.
