Unfortunately, when we tried to reserve the booking total on the card on your account, it failed with the reason 'authorisation error". For your safety and security, further detail around this is not disclosed to us. This does mean that we are unable to offer more detailed information and would encourage you to reach out to your bank.
The reason for this could be one of a few items:
- Insufficient funds / limit reached
- Risk system of issuing bank
- Risk system of acquiring bank
- Communication error
- Other technical reasons including that the card is not enabled for online transactions
Communication Error
If you believe that there is no issue with the card, it is very possible that when we tried to reserve the funds, that your bank was offline at that exact moment. But do not worry - we will attempt to reserve the funds again 2 days before your booking is scheduled to take place. We've found it to be very unlikely that if it initially failed due to downtime that the same thing will happen when we try again. But please do keep an eye on your emails, if we are unsuccessful on our second attempt, your booking will be cancelled.
Important Information
It is essential that all users of the SweepSouth platform either have a valid card on record and if not, that sufficient SweepCred (SweepSouth credit) is available to cover the cost of a booking, 5 days prior to the booking taking place. Unfortunately, if this is not met, bookings will be cancelled automatically.
If you need some assistance with either of these, please pop on over to our Help Centre:
