This is why we take every precaution possible to ensure that SweepStars are honest and trustworthy. This includes criminal and reference checks as well as recording constant feedback from clients.
Background checks are carried out in accordance with the Kenyan standard. We even receive data if they have ever been charged with a crime. We would never permit a worker to be activated on the platform with any criminal history.
In order to become a SweepStar, all applicants are required to provide proof of their valid National ID and valid bank details as well as a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued by the government). This Certificate of Good Conduct is handed to Peleza who verifies that the certificate is valid and that the individual has no criminal record.
Peleza specialises in Background Checks using official and reliable national and international data sources to screen candidates while complying with any privacy legislation in force.
All applicants are also required to have at least 2 years' working experience or a relevant certificate coupled with at least 2 contactable references. Contact is made with all references to ensure these individuals can vouch for the SweepStar.
